Our brief was to develop the garden terrace to create cooking, dining and relaxing spaces for our clients to enjoy with their guests, as well as to bring a stylish yet relaxed planting scheme into the garden.
We designed the outdoor kitchen area in a rustic style with micro-cement and natural woods in a curved shape to mirror the adjoining traditional stone wall, bringing an aesthetic harmony to the space. We installed a gas grill and a wood-fired pizza oven, built in the style of a traditional Ibizan bread oven, and also created space for a woodpile. The multi-functional breakfast bar provides extra storage, counter space for food preparation, plus additional seating for guests.
A view of the natural landscape of Ibiza was the ideal place to install the large seating area that we designed inhouse. Perfect for enjoying an aperitif for one or pre-dinner drinks with guests. With all our garden design work, we always look at the whole area to consider what and where will best suit the space to optimise the usage our clients can gain from it.
The planting scheme is relaxed and informal, paying attention to the surrounding landscape. In beds that surround the pool, heads of purple verbena blow atop their long stems in the soft breeze and shrubs and white gaura planted in large concrete pots bring life to the terrace dining area.
Pathways framed by low stone walls and abundant planting beds with pine and olive trees, a delicate touch of colour with Russian sage and golden grasses all bring interest to this gentle landscape.
